Luisne Spirituality Centre maintains a policy of equal opportunity, Health and Safety, and Child Protection. These policies are available in the Luisne Library to anyone who comes to Luisne.

Luisne is a Spirituality Centre under the auspices of the Sisters of the Holy Faith.

People of all faiths and none are welcome at Luisne. As well as supporting and welcoming people of all faiths Luisne seeks to re-imagine and live the Christian story

Luisne Spirituality Centre seeks an awakening to the dawn of a new awareness of self, creation, the God of Creation, and their deep and sacred interconnectedness.

Luisne, in the words of the late John O’Donohue, is an old Irish term for ‘the first blush of light before dawn breaks’ (Cf. Divine Beauty, p85)

The Luisne Vision

Our dream is that Luisne become a monastic settlement similar to the old Celtic Christian monasteries but inspired by the new scientific and spiritual vision which encompasses the whole of life in its personal, planetary and universal dimensions.

Luisne will be a space where: hospitality, healing, learning and a rhythm of prayer are essential elements; community implies not only care for one another but care for the whole community of life including planet earth; mutual respect and co-responsibility are experienced and encouraged; all who are searching for meaning in life find welcome; local and Holy Faith heritage is honoured; contemplative stillness, beauty and peace are experienced; and the healing beauty of the outer landscape awakens the creativity and sacredness of the landscape of the soul.
